This from Newsday...
Plaxico Burress' date with justice is being pushed back once again. His attorney has told Newsday that when the former Giants wide receiver appears in Manhattan Criminal Court Monday it will be to request a second adjournment. Burress and the prosecution asked for an adjournment at a previously scheduled hearing on March 31.
Benjamin Brafman, Burress' attorney, said his client would be in attendance at the hearing.
Burress is facing two gun charges after accidentally shooting himself in the leg in a Manhattan night club in November. Those second-degree felony charges each carry a 3 1/2-year minimum jail sentence, although those charges are typically plea bargained to lower crimes with less time served.
According to reports, Burress is pushing to avoid any jailtime and has hopes of playing in the NFL in 2009. The Giants released him shortly after his first adjournment. The Jets are among the handful of teams that have reached out to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, about the possibility of signing Burress....
JOSH'S QUICK TAKE...
Plaxico is amazing and talented, but he is not above the law. Michael Vick had the book thrown at him, lets throw it at Plax too. Time for jail.

OK, so at least we got one win out of it.
The magic are now 1-8 in the finals from two trips 14 years apart. Where did we go wrong? We get blown out in game one, game two is close, and by game three I thought the Magic had turned it around for good with a fantastic victory at home.
Dwight Howard is an absolute stud, and I respect him for working hard in the gym and pushing his teammates. But, it is number 12's fault the Magic fell in five.
Some people will tell you that you cannot blame one person for an entire outcome, but I respectfully disagree and blame Mr. Dwight Howard.
I commend him for working on his free throws, but to put it simply, he choked big time. The magic were up by three with Dwight at the line, only seconds left from tying the series. He misses both, and well, the rest is history. Lakers charge down and Fisher hits the three, wiping away sweet victory.
With those missed free throws, the Magic players lost their hope and aspiration, playing like an unorganized assembly of school girls to finish the series.
Sincerely,
The "do boy"

Andy Roddick is one of those athletes whose fame outsizes his accomplishments. He's one of the more successful American tennis players, but in the Roger Era, his on-court record will never put him alongside the greats.
His recent loss at Wimbledon was miserable, but he still managed to pull enough strength and dignity to charm the crap out of everyone during his post-match Centre Court interview.
(Something Lebron should have done but that is another story)
Now, Andy isn't the same young phenom destined to dominate men's tennis, rather a transformed underdog more fun to cheer on.
You can call it over the hill or whatever, but the key is he gains some sympathy in a weird...you're way richer than me but I feel bad for you.....kinda way.
I hope to see Roddick win a second Grand Slam title, and I am definitely not ruling it out.
It just would have been nice to see him win this one.
Sincerely,
